Travelling: Exploring India and Beyond
Travelling is one of the things that really makes me feel alive. For me, it’s not just about taking a break from work or going on a holiday. It’s about discovering new places, meeting new people, trying different foods, experiencing new cultures, and collecting memories that last a lifetime. I’ve always loved exploring, especially in India. Our country is so diverse that every trip feels like stepping into a whole new world. From the peaceful mountains of Kashmir and Meghalaya to the beaches of Goa and Kerala, from the colorful streets of Kolkata to the beautiful landscapes of Punjab, there’s always something fresh to discover. I’ve been lucky to visit many amazing places like Kolkata, Meghalaya, Kashmir, Jammu, Kerala, Goa, Punjab, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. I’ve also explored spots closer to home like Lonavala, Mulshi, and Panshet. Every trip gave me something unique, but if I had to pick my absolute favorite, it’d be
There’s just something exciting about breaking out of your daily routine and heading somewhere new. Life can get pretty repetitive wake up, work, check your phone, repeat. Travelling gives me a chance to step away from all that. Even planning a trip gets me pumped. Searching for cool places, figuring out what to pack, looking at photos, planning routes it’s all part of the fun. But the best part? Actually arriving and seeing the place with your own eyes. Photos can show you how beautiful a place is, but being there, feeling the breeze, smelling the air, hearing the sounds that’s something different altogether.
My Love for Mountains

If there’s one thing that ties many of my favorite trips together, it’s the mountains. I’ve always been drawn to them. There’s something incredibly peaceful about being surrounded by tall hills, fresh air, clouds, forests, and quiet roads. Mountains make me slow down. When I’m there, I don’t feel the urge to constantly check my phone or worry about what’s next. I can just sit with a cup of tea, take in the view, listen to nature, and enjoy the moment. Maybe that’s why Kashmir means so much to me.

Kashmir: My Favorite Destination
Out of all the places I’ve been, Kashmir is definitely my favorite. There’s something almost magical about it. The mountains, lakes, valleys, greenery, snow, and rivers create a feeling that’s hard to put into words. What I love most is the mix of beauty and peace. You can spend hours just staring at the mountains and still feel like you haven’t seen enough. Every season brings something new. Snowy winters feel entirely different from the lush green summers. Kashmir made me understand why people call it heaven on earth.
But it’s not just the views. It’s how I feel when I’m there. The calm surroundings help me forget everyday worries and just be present. If I could, I’d go back to Kashmir again and again.
Exploring the Beauty of India
Travelling around India has shown me just how diverse our country really is. Kolkata gave me a taste of rich culture, history, food, and old-world charm. Meghalaya introduced me to stunning landscapes, waterfalls, green hills, and peaceful vibes. Jammu and Kashmir offered the mountains I adore. Kerala combined greenery, beaches, backwaters, food, and culture in such a beautiful way. Goa let me relax by the sea, enjoy sunsets, and experience a slower pace. Punjab impressed me with its warm hospitality, tasty food, lively culture, and energy. Each place has its own vibe. That’s what makes travelling in India so exciting you don’t have to leave the country to find something new. Every state has its own language, food, traditions, scenery, and stories.

Exploring Places Closer to Home
Travelling isn’t always about flying somewhere far or planning a long trip. Some of my best travel moments happened close to home. Places like Lonavala, Mulshi, and Panshet reminded me that amazing experiences can be just a few hours away. A short road trip is often all it takes to clear your mind. There’s something special about hopping in the car, leaving the city behind, and watching the scenery change. Green hills, winding roads, lakes, small villages, roadside food stalls, and surprise viewpoints can turn a simple weekend into an adventure. These trips taught me that you don’t always need a long vacation—sometimes, all you need is the curiosity to explore.

Travelling Beyond India
While I love India, I’ve also been lucky to travel internationally. Sri Lanka was beautiful with its beaches, greenery, relaxed vibe, and coastal views. Thailand was a whole different adventure vibrant streets, tasty food, beaches, markets, and a unique culture. Traveling abroad lets you see how people live differently, while also making you appreciate what feels familiar at home. Even after visiting other countries, I always find myself drawn back to India. There’s always another part of India waiting to be explored.
Travel Is About More than Places
Over time, I’ve realized travel isn’t just about where you go.
It’s about the journey. It’s the conversations during long drives, the food you discover on the way, the people you meet, the unexpected spots you stumble upon, the wrong turns, the funny moments, and even the little problems that later become stories. Some of my favorite memories aren’t from famous sights—they’re quiet moments: sitting somewhere beautiful, watching a sunset, sipping tea, strolling through a new spot, or just soaking in the mountains. These moments remind me to slow down and appreciate life.
Travelling Has Changed How I See Life
Every trip has taught me something new. Travel has made me more open to different cultures and ways of life. It’s taught me to be flexible when plans change and to value experiences over things. It’s also shown me how much beauty exists beyond daily routines we often worry so much about the future that we forget to enjoy the present. Travel brings me back to now. Whether I’m in the mountains, by a lake, on a beach, exploring a city, or enjoying a simple local meal, I feel grateful for the chance to experience something new.
My Travel Bucket List
Even though I’ve been to many amazing places, my list is still growing. There are so many more parts of India I want to visit. I want to discover more mountain destinations, explore lesser-known villages, check out the Northeast, experience more of the Himalayas, and take slower, immersive journeys. I also want to revisit some places because sometimes, a destination feels completely different the second time around.
And yes, Kashmir is definitely on that list

For me, travelling isn’t about counting countries or cities visited. It’s about the memories I collect along the way.
Places like Kolkata, Meghalaya, Kashmir, Jammu, Kerala, Goa, Punjab, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Lonavala, Mulshi, Panshet, and many more have left a small mark on me.
But out of all of them, Kashmir remains closest to my heart.
Maybe it’s because I love mountains. Maybe it’s the peace I feel there. Or maybe some places just become special without needing a reason.
There will always be another road to take, another mountain to climb, another city to explore, another local dish to try, and another sunset to watch.
So, I want to keep travelling—not just to see new places, but to keep discovering new experiences, new perspectives, and new versions of myself.
Because for me, travelling isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way of life.
